There are many effects which can be created varying from a wood grain to a stucco finish. The machines themselves can be completely self-contained or integrated into a production line. |

Panel handling systems have been developed over the years and with the use of input conveyors, turn over units, scissor lifts, temporary storage arms and elevating conveyors, BDC Ltd has created a production line which can run a 3 shift system with the minimum of maintenance. |

Accumulation of sheets allows continuous production whilst coil changes are made, this unit has a 180 metres capability or in real terms 15 minutes on a line running at 12 metres/minute, allowing sufficient time to change coils without the production line stopping. |

This 2 x 16 metre composite panel cooling system gives a one hour cooling period at full production. The panels are stood individually on there edge and are supported at regular intervals to allow the heat to dissipate evenly. This process is fully automatic or can be operated manually. |

4 tonne packs of chipboard are placed on the input rollers and transferred to a scissor lift and pusher arrangement. The top sheet is pushed into a saw and the pusher returns, the scissor lift indexes up and the process is repeated. As the last sheet is pushed into the saw, sensors linked to a PLC return the scissor lift to ground level to receive the next pack. This again is fully integrated into the production sequence but can be operated manually from a desk. |

BDC Ltd has developed a robust range of 10 tonne De-coilers, Coil Cars and Shears, the main benefits are the expansion range which is from 460mm to 630mm, alleviating the need for awkward to handle spacer segments. De-coiling can be linked to line speed using ultrasonic sensors or a mechanical dancer arm arrangement. The low level shear is completely enclosed and a cut cycle is achieved in under a second. |

This special conveyor system transports 1" thick chip board tiles into a mechanical press, it comprises of a pneumatic lift table, pusher device and driven conveyors using low friction gears for a longer life. The unit operates accurately by using programmed servo motors and again is fully integrated into the production line. This unit was mounted on rails to allow unrestricted access to the press for maintenance and repair. |
